Skills development

Research and Pre-Production:
I feel that i have improved a lot in my research skills as in GCSE media studies i did not research into the product enough i just briefly looked at the product. I now research into similar products, use surveys and questionnaire's to find out about our target audience.I have learnt how to efficiently create a storyboard as to when it comes to filming i know exactly where to film and for how long. I have also learnt you can't 'wing it' as if you cannot create a good product from making it up on the spot. i have also learnt how to create a alright script and to learn my lines before i film. However i feel that i could create a better script as we did not have stage direction's or as  in-depth as it should of been. I have also learnt to use a location shoot in the appropriate way as we took photos of how the street, and inside the house was before we filmed it so we can refer back to the pictures if we had to re-shoot any of our shots.

Production:
I have also learnt how important different types of shots that are used in the filming stage and what impact they have to the film, to show different things.I have also learnt about the mise en scene and how everything is placed in the shot and not there by accident. The filming has also taught me the importance of continuity within the film itself as if the final product is not the same all the way through it can make the finished product look tacky. This was shown in the continuity of our film Subject:Monroe.

Post Production:

When it came to editing i would say that i have slightly improved. I knew a little bit about it before however in GCSE we used Windows Movie Maker which was pretty simple to use. For minute film intro we used Sony Vegas Pro 9.0.However i feel that i need to improve on my editing skills as i did not do much on the editing in AS.I have learnt how to use after effects to a simple standard, i need to improve on this as
